Dr. Boris Konovalov

Dr. Boris Konovalov is a highly esteemed pianist of his generation, with extensive training from the Novosibirsk Glinka Conservatory and Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where he studied under Professors S. Gindis and Vera Gornostaeva, a student of the legendary Heinrich Neuhaus. Throughout his career, Konovalov has performed globally, with tours in Israel, Germany, the USA, China, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Canada, and many other countries.
He first gained international attention at age 16, performing Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1, and has since collaborated with renowned conductors such as Arnold Katz, Boris Gruzin, Vassilij Sinaisky, Robert Bernhardt, and Lu Sha, among others.
Dr. Konovalov began his teaching career at 23 and has since held professorial positions at the Novosibirsk Glinka Conservatory, Jerusalem Rubin Academy, Alberta College Music Conservatory, and Tom Lee Music Academy. He has also led masterclasses at institutions worldwide, including the University of Arizona, Seoul's University and Art High School, and the Sapporo Music Conservatory.
A frequent adjudicator at international competitions and festivals, Konovalov is in high demand for his expertise. He has released six solo CDs, showcasing his performances, and has been featured on Israeli Radio, Russian TV, and numerous radio programs.
With a vast repertoire including all of Beethoven’s 32 piano sonatas, 40 solo programs, and 30 concertos, Dr. Konovalov is also a faculty member at prestigious international music festivals in Italy, Germany, Georgia, and the Czech Republic. His contributions to the world of music extend far beyond performance, reaching into education and the global classical music community.
